PUT ME IN CHARGE . . .

Put me in charge of food stamps. I'd get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho's, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the "common good".

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem," consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are on Gov't subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov't welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

Evolution of Conservatives and Liberals

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

1. Liberals; and

2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement.

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as girliemen.

Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant.

Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish, but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.

Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines, and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.

It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above before forwarding it. A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true believers and to more liberals just to tick them off.

AMMUNITION & FIREARMS AVAILABILITY IN THE UNITED STATES

Love this one. Thanks to the Democrats, ammunition and firearms producers are having a hard time keeping up with demand! Now THAT’S what I call economic stimulus!

What I still don’t get about this idea of gun control is how it’s supposed to work. Criminals don’t care about gun control. All gun control does is take guns out of the hands of those who would use a gun to protect themselves and others. Besides, everywhere there is gun control, there is an increased level in gun related violence/death.

Please note that I’ve added links to the various gun maker’s web sites. I’m also going to add links to some of the weapons mentioned in this article so you can see what it looks like as some have already disappeared.

AMMUNITION & FIREARMS AVAILABILITY IN THE UNITED STATES:

Smith & Wesson-is running at Full capacity making 300+ guns per day. They are unable to produce any more guns to help with the shortages.

RUGER: Plans to increase capacity from 75% to 100%

FNH: Moving from 50% production to 75% by Feb 1st and 100% by March 1.

Remington: Maxed out.

Armalite: Maxed out.

DPMS: Can't get enough parts to produce any more product.

COLT: Production runs increasing weekly. They are bottle necked by a shortage of bolt carriers.

LWRC: Making only black guns, running at full capacity. They can't get enough gun quality steel to make barrels.

Springfield Armory: Only company who can meet demands, but is running 30-45 days behind.

AMMO: Every caliber is now allocated. We are looking at a nationwide shortage of all calibers over the next 9 months. All plants are producing as much ammo as possible. One billion rounds are produced weekly. Only a small part is available to civilians though. First in line for all ammo is the US military, followed by law enforcement. Civilians are third in line.

MAGPUL is behind 1 MILLION mags. Do not expect any large quantities of magpul mags anytime soon.

RELOADERS... All Remington, Winchester, CCI & Federal primers are going to the ammo manufacturers. None is allocated for civilian reloading purposes. Primer sales to civilians are not expected to resume for six to nine months.

GUN STORE SALES: It’s not just the AR-15s, the AK-pattern rifles, the M1As, and the FALs that are sold out. World War era M1 Garands, M1 carbines and Enfield .303s are gone, along with every last cartridge for them. It’s not just the semi autos that have disappeared from the shelves either. The bolt action center fire rifles are gone too. World War One and Two Russian Mosin-Nagants, of which every gun store always seemed to have 10-20 of, are gone. So is their ammo. Only a dust free space marks their passing.

Every weapon of military utility designed within the past 100+ years is gone. This isn’t a society stocking up on certain guns because they fear they may be banned. This is a society preparing for war.

The Anti-Gun Politicians, with calls for new rounds of gun control and weapon bans have done more to promote gun ownership than the NRA ever did.

Well done, Liberal Democrats!

Just a quick refresher course lest we forget what has happened to many "friends" of the Clintons.

1. James McDougal - Clintons convicted Whitewater partner died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement. He was a key witness in Ken Starr's investigation.
2. Mary Mahoney - A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown. The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House.
3. Vince Foster - Former White House councilor, and colleague of Hillary Clinton at Little Rock's Rose Law firm. Died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruled a suicide.
4. Ron Brown - Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman. Reported to have died by impact in a plane crash. A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown's skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the air Traffic controller committed suicide.
5. C. Victor Raiser, II - Raiser, a major player in the Clinton fund raising organization died in a private plane crash in July 1992.
6. Paul Tulley - Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead in a hotel room in Little Rock , September 1992. Described by Clinton as a "dear friend and trusted advisor".
7. Ed Willey - Clinton fundraiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the woods in VA of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton groped her in the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several Clinton fund raising events.
8. Jerry Parks - Head of Clinton's gubernatorial security team in Little Rock. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock. Park's son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton. He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house.
9. James Bunch - Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a "Black Book" of people which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas.
10. James Wilson - Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater.
11. Kathy Ferguson - Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson, was found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit. Kathy Ferguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones.
12. Bill Shelton - Arkansas State Trooper and fiancée of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiancée, he was found dead in June, 1994 of a gunshot wound also ruled a suicide at the grave site of his fiancée.
13. Gandy Baugh - Attorney for Clinton's friend Dan Lassater, died by jumping out a window of a tall building January, 1994. His client was a convicted drug distributor.
14. Florence Martin - Accountant & sub-contractor for the CIA, was related to the Barry Seal, Mena, Arkansas, airport drug smuggling case. He died of three gunshot wounds.
15. Suzanne Coleman - Reportedly had an affair with Clinton when he was Arkansas Attorney General. Died of a gunshot wound to the back of the head, ruled a suicide. Was pregnant at the time of her death.
16. Paula Grober - Clinton's speech interpreter for the deaf from 1978 until her death December 9, 1992. She died in a one car accident.
17. Danny Casolaro - Investigative reporter. Investigating Mena Airport and Arkansas Development Finance Authority. He slit his wrists, apparently, in the middle of his investigation.
18. Paul Wilcher - Attorney investigating corruption at Mena Airport with Casolaro and the 1980 "October Surprise" was found dead on a toilet June 22, 1993, in his Washington DC apartment. Had delivered a report to Janet Reno 3 weeks before his death.
19. Jon Parnell Walker - Whitewater investigator for Resolution Trust Corp. Jumped to his death from his Arlington , Virginia apartment balcony August 15, 1993. He was investigating the Morgan Guaranty scandal.
20. Barbara Wise - Commerce Department staffer. Worked closely with Ron Brown and John Huang. Cause of death unknown. Died November 29, 1996. Her bruised, nude body was found locked in her office at the Department of Commerce.
21. Charles Meissner - Assistant Secretary of Commerce who gave John Huang special security clearance, died shortly thereafter in a small plane crash.
22. Dr. Stanley Heard - Chairman of the National Chiropractic Health Care Advisory Committee died with his attorney Steve Dickson in a small plane crash. Dr. Heard, in addition to serving on Clinton's advisory council personally treated Clinton's mother, stepfather and brother.
23. Barry Seal - Drug running TWA pilot out of Mena Arkansas, death was no accident.
24. Johnny Lawhorn, Jr. - Mechanic, found a check made out to Bill Clinton in the trunk of a car left at his repair shop. He was found dead after his car had hit a utility pole.
25. Stanley Huggins - Investigated Madison Guaranty. His death was a purported suicide and his report was never released.
26. Hershell Friday - Attorney and Clinton fundraiser died March 1, 1994, when his plane exploded.
27. Kevin Ives & Don Henry - Known as "The boys on the track" case. Reports say the boys may have stumbled upon the Mena Arkansas airport drug operation. A controversial case, the initial report of death said, due to falling asleep on railroad tracks. Later reports claim the 2 boys had been slain before being placed on the tracks. Many linked to the case died before their testimony could come before a Grand Jury.

VA Unconstitutionally Tries To Disarm Veterans

I got this from a friend and fellow vet. When I retired in 2010, the VA offered me free medical care for 5 years because I was a part of Operation Enduring Freedom. Part of the process of getting this free health care was to go through “registration”. Part of this process included asking me a slew of questions related to my mental health. They asked me if I had any thoughts of suicide, waking/sleeping nightmares, or if I had witnessed anyone I knew die in combat. I was luckily never in combat and so all my answers were no. Even at that, I’m going to be looking for a letter from the VA as described in this posting. Please note that I’m going to add links to referred materials in this posting so you can see for yourself that what is being said is factual.

VA Unconstitutionally Tries To Disarm Veterans

Guns: Veterans who bore arms to defend their country are receiving letters that they may be declared mentally incompetent and have their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms stripped from them. Welcome home.

The contempt by the Obama administration for our Constitution and our rights has reached a new low with news the Veterans Administration has begun sending letters to veterans telling them they will be declared mentally incompetent and stripped of the Second Amendment rights unless they can prove to unnamed bureaucrats to the contrary.

On Thursday, Michael Connelly, executive director of the United States Justice Foundation, said veterans have begun getting warning letters from the Veterans Administration (VA). The letters inform the recipients that he or she must provide evidence to the contrary within 60 days. If the veteran desires a hearing, they must inform the VA within 30 days.

"A determination of incompetency will prohibit you from purchasing, possessing, receiving, or transporting a firearm or ammunition. If you knowingly violate any of these prohibitions, you may be fined, imprisoned, or both pursuant to the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, Pub.L.No. 103-159, as implemented at 18, United States Code 924(a)(2)," the letter reads.

The VA states on its Fiduciary Program website that, according to the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, signed into law in 1993, being determined as unable to manage your benefits prevents you from owning and possessing a firearm or ammunition.

While mental health is a factor in the current gun control debate and recent mass shootings in Newtown, Conn., and Aurora, Colo., and elsewhere have in common the questionable mental state of the shooters, to single out returning vets from Iraq and Afghanistan this way is unconscionable and unconstitutional.

No one wants the mentally unstable to possess firearms, but neither do we want to see the presumption of innocence or the right to due process guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution taken away. The Fifth Amendment states that no person shall "... be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law." The VA seems to be violating these rights to take away those guaranteed under the Second Amendment.

Returning vets were seen as vulnerable to "right-wing extremists" in an April 2009 report by Janet Napolitano's Homeland Security Dept., titled "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment".

"Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to right-wing extremists," it says. "(Department of Homeland Security's Office of Intelligence and Analysis) is concerned that right-wing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize veterans in order to boost their violent capacities."

Yet the only man in uniform to run amok with a gun on a mass scale in recent memory has been Ft. Hood shooter Major Nidal Hasan, hardly a "right-wing" extremist. He shouted "Allahu Akbar" and opened fire on U.S. soldiers, killing 13, including a pregnant soldier, and wounding 32 others in the Nov. 5, 2009, rampage at the Army base in Killeen, Texas. Yes my friends… This means that Hasan wasn’t a “right-wing extremist”. It means that he was an Islamic extremist.

With about half of Americans receiving government benefits, stripping people of their constitutional rights because the government decides they can't manage their financial affairs sets a dangerous precedent. What I don’t get in regards to this is that Obama is willing to give out “Obama phones” and “Obama bucks” to people who have done nothing to earn them aside of simply existing, yet he’s more than willing to have the VA take from those who had earned their benefits, but have simply fallen on hard times because of his past failed and continued failing economic policies. That in and of itself seems “unfair” to me, but what do Democrats care of “fairness” if such fairness is at odds to their own ideals.

Returning veterans and wounded warriors who have experienced the horror of war, particularly those who are suffering from post traumatic stress disorder deserve our honor and respect and the best care we can give them. But they deserve the presumption of innocence and sanity, and are entitled to the same due process of law as the rest of us law-abiding citizens.

The constitutional rights they fought to protect should not be shredded by a bureaucracy with an agenda all its own.
