Oh we can only hope this happens. Why? Because of a few things....
1. Obama PROMISED transparency!
These czars have no oversight other than the President and his top officials. Obama criticized Bush during his bid for the Presidency for not being transparent enough in his dealings as President, yet Obama is just as guilt if not more.
2. Czars are just another push towards socialism.
How/why? Partly because of what I just said, but also because they are appointed by the President WITHOUT approval of Congress. In other words, they are appointed to high levels within the President's cabinet, yet there is NO check to these appointments, something that is supposed to happen under the Constitution. It goes back to the old checks and balances and that no one branch of the government is all powerful. I wonder when Obama is going to get that.
3. In a time where the federal government is looking for cutbacks, lets cut these back.
They are being paid for doing things that others used to do. Do they really need to exist then? Read on to find out more of what I'm talking about.
Besides this, there are czars for the dumbest things. Here's a list of 33 of them (my research says there's now some 39) as of January 01, 2010 (please read all the way through as this is VERY important):
1. TARP Czar - Herb Allison
TARP was something that was normally handled by the Treasury Department. He has a degree in philosophy and an MBA. OK... I'm looking for some degree in accounting or something like that, but I'm not finding it. You know... something related to finances. Oh wait.... he was director of the NYSE and was president and CEO of Fannie May. WOW! (eye roll)
2. Border Czar - Alan Bersin
This was something that was taken care of by Customs and Border Protection. Granted, he has a law degree, but.... he did some time as Attorney General Janet Reno’s Southwest Border Representative, coordinating law enforcement on the U.S.- Mexico border. That's good, right? Nope. While in this position, a decrease of illegal immigrants was noted in California, yet a severe increase was noted elsewhere! He had said, during this time, that he was more interested in going after those guilty of smuggling drugs and people and he didn't care about those who were coming in illegally to find work. He has also refused recently to watch actual video of illegals coming across our southern border unimpeded! A person could argue that he bought his position. Why? He's given more than $50,000 since 1999 and most of it to Democrats. Just sayin'....
3. Intelligence Czar - Dennis Blair
So much for the CIA.... Granted, he did some time in the Navy as an officer, but.... he has absolutely NO experience in the Intelligence community! So like Obama, he has no practical experience of any kinda in the position that he's in! GREAT!
4. Car Czar - Ron Bloom
He's probably the best known of the czars thanks to Obama's illegal take over of a private industry. Ah yes... Obama will be known throughout history as the first American President to take over a private company! Like Obama and Blair, Bloom has absolutely NO experience of any kind in the automotive industry to fall back on! If he does, I can't find it.
5. Terrorism Czar - John Brennan
I would say so much for the Department of Homeland Security, but I've been saying that since Janet Napolitano said I'm more of a threat to national security because I'm a veteran than actual terrorists are! While Brennan is one of the very few that actually has some experience in his post, he's still an epic failure. Why? He was the one who declared the War on Terrorism over because he thinks the reason Muslims have declared jihad is because such acts are, "the final murderous manifestation of a long process rooted in hopelessness, humiliation, and hatred." He refuses to see that it's really an attack on our culture of liberalism. Sure.... America is really right center, but it's still a lot more liberal than most Muslims like. That and they want us to covert to Islam. When I say they, I mean the radicals.
6. Energy and Environmental Czar - Carol Browner
At least she was the head of the EPA under Clinton, yet she has degrees in English and law. What those have to do with energy and the environment, I have NO idea. Also, at the end of her term as the head of the EPA, she told a computer tech to DELETE ALL of the files on her computer, which was a direct violation of a federal court ordered mandate. When asked about this, Browner said she had no work related material on her computer (yeah right you MUST think we're stupid) and that she was cleaning the hard drive of computer games and the like. Funny thing.... three other high ranking officials in the EPA did the same thing on their way out too! Her other failure goes with making GE spend $490 million to dredge out the Hudson River for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Not bad, only these PCBs were buried to the point that they posted no treat! So with all of this, how has she actually helped?
7. Urban Affairs Czar - Adolfo Carrion
What the heck is this???? Well.... according to my sources, he's supposed to coordinate transportation and housing initiatives to economically hard-hit cities. Oh... and he's supposed to serve as a conduit for federal aid to such areas. Sounds noble, but the Department of Housing and Urban Development is already supposed to be taking care of that! At least he's got a masters in urban planning, but still.... he could have been simply hired into the Department of Housing and Urban Development rather than given a high ranking position in which he answers to no one aside of Obama! Oh but it doesn't end there.... it has been reported that he was a HUGH supporter of Obama during his bid for President and that “[a]s a reward for turning out the Latino vote, Obama handed [Carrion] the keys to the urban czar’s office – where he will have power to shower dollars on urban areas.” Meaning he will have money... OUR money... to give to illegals and those wanting better housing, but have done nothing to earn it! The following has been reported by KingstonHouse.gov of other scandals this scoundrel has a part in:
(a) Has been the subject of several investigations by theCity Daily News and was suspected by an ethics watchdog group of participating in pay-to-play schemes New York

8. Weapons Czar - Ashton Carter
My poor Department of Defense. This guy wants to negotiate with our enemies. Sounds good on paper, but this really isn't practical. Oh... and he has some experience with the Department of Defense under weapons for one year as he studied the effects of a Soviet nuclear attack. Other than that, he's got a doctorate in theoretical physics. Ooh..... ah....
9. Technology Czar - Aneesh Chopra
His job is a laugh! Dig this... He's to lead an effort to eliminate wasteful government programs and to increase broadband access nationwide and computerized medical records. But as with other czars, he has NO experience! He's degree???? In public health!!! What the heck does public health have to do with anything he's responsible for???? I'd like to ask him where the heck was he when Obama wasted all that money in bail outs! Where was he went the waste known as Obamacare was signed into law! What about this waste called CZARS!?!?!?!?!? Why isn't he fixing Medicare and Medicaid? I wonder what his stance is on Obama trying to monitor the Internet....
10. AIDS Czar - Jerry Crowley
So much for Health and Human Services. At least he has a degree in health care, but really.... is this post REALLY necessary???? More government waste.... wait.... ANEESH CHOPRA!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!?!?!?!?!?
11. Great Lakes Czar - Cameron Davis
Wait.... He oversees the initiative to restore the Great Lakes' environment..... Wait a minute.... I though we already had an Energy and Environmental Czar that could take care of that.... oh wait... we do..... DAMN IT, CHOPRA!!!! WHERE THE F ARE YOU!?!?!?!
12. Health Czar - Nancy-Ann DeParle
She's the one responsible for development of Obamacare. I think you'd be interested to know that she holds degrees in history, politics, philosophy, economics, and law. Looking.... Looking... You know what??? I CAN'T FIND A MEDICAL DEGREE ANYWHERE!!!!!! DAMN IT CHOPRA!!! YOU ARE REALLY PISSING ME OFF RIGHT NOW!!!!! Oh... but she DID work for Medicare for a while. That gives her the experience to screw up the world's best health care system just as Medicare is screwed up!
13. Stimulus Accountability Czar - Earl Devaney
So I have another name to get pissed off about the epic failure known as Obama Stimulus.... Good. Interesting in that he's got a degree in government (what ever that means) and that he did time in the Secret Service for 21 years. So what does any of that have to do with money? Actually, he would have been more suited to that "Intelligence" Czar position....
14. Faith-Based Czar - Joshua DuBois
Now this position isn't what I thought the title meant. I was thinking something along the lines of trying to get us into a big circle to sing Kumbyah in a showing of understanding. Nope... try again. How about acting as a liaison between faith AND secular community groups and the White House. He's supposed to help these groups apply for federal grants. So he's not there to make sure that faith groups and secular groups play nice together. While he has 4 degrees, none of them has anything to do with religion or accounting. At least he's a pastor, but still....
15. Pay Czar - Kenneth Feinberg
Here's another czar that we've heard a lot about, but I don't agree with the position. Let companies fail! It's the only way they will become better just as it is with a person. The general wussification of America is a major issue. Kids getting "participation" medals/trophies just because they were there, but didn't win! These same kids being taught that winning isn't everything, which it isn't, but it does count for something. They aren't being taught that the REAL point is how you play (being a good winner and loser) and that giving your best effort is what's important even if you don't win! Darn it, but I'm digressing a bit. Back on topic! Feinberg has economic power. He's responsible for dishing out bail out money and that's not right. That's too much power for one person to have! Oh... and he's a lawyer, not an accountant.
16. Guantanamo Closure Czar - Daniel Fried
Laughable. This poor guy is supposed to convince Europeans that having radial Muslims accused of acts of terrorism in their country is a good thing. Good luck with that, buddy!!!! I'll give to him that he did some time dealing with Europeans on the political side of the house, but still.... I know I don't want them here on American soil and so I'm sure it's the same feeling in Europe.
17. Sudan Czar - J. Scott Grarion
He's supposed to coordinate America's role in the aftermath of the genocide in Darfur, but isn't that the Pants Suit Lady's job???? At least he has a degree in international affairs and has some experience, but still.... just more waste at the federal level because I'm sure they're not paying him peanuts! COME ON, CHOPRA!!! WAKE UP AND SMELL THE FRAUD, WASTE, AND ABUSE!!!!!
18. California Water Czar - David Hayes
He's supposed to help California and their water shortage. I'm left wondering how a person with a BA and a law degree is supposed to do this. He also believes in the theory that man is responsible for global warming... I mean global climate change. Those of us in the know, know global climate change isn't the crisis liberals what you to think it is. Yes, it happens, but no, it doesn't indicate the end of the world.
19. Afghanistan Czar - Richard Holbrooke
Another thing Clinton is getting out of even though it's HER JOB!!!!! He's supposedly working with General Petraeus to integrate U.S. military and civilian efforts in both Afghanistan and Pakistan. OK... he's got some ambassador time under his belt. So I'm think that his post is a waste of money because it would be less expensive to hire someone under the Secretary of State.
20. Science Czar - John Holdren
This guys just drools Marxism and is a staunch believer in the global warming scare, but that's just part of it. Sure, he got a degree at MIT, but I couldn't find what he was supposed to do exactly. Reading what I did about him, it's probably something to do with using science to advance liberal agendas such as global warming and trying to disprove the existence of God.
21. Green Jobs Czar - Van Jones
Van here likes the Black Panthers, is a lawyer, is racists (he thinks that America is by in large racists), became a Communist in 1992 after the Rodney King riots, is anything but professional (actually used to word "assholes" to describe Republicans in an interview), and is in total favor of green jobs (which as we know from our European neighbors doesn't create wealth). Oh... and he NEVER created a job for anyone that I could see!
22. Drug Czar - Gil Kerlikowske
He isn't there to try to control the prices or drugs or anything like that. He's there to change drug policies from one of punishment to one of intervention and treatment. Sounds good on paper, but there are too many who abuse drugs who don't want to get off of them. I say keep the punishment and to try to treat those who really want it. Oh.... and surprise!!!! He did time as a cop! Someone who actually has direct experience to his position!!!! I'm SHOCKED!!!!
23. Information Czar - Vivek Kundra
He's supposed to oversee other federal agency CIOs and for setting technology policy across the government. At least he's got a masters in the IT field and has experience, but..... He was the Chief Technology Officer for District of Columbia in 2007. Not long after being named a czar, two office managers that were under him at the DC office were arrested on charges of fraud and bribery that supposedly defrauded DC out of at least half a million dollars. Kundra said he didn't know what was going on, but.... with all the crap that Rick Scott got over his alleged knowledge of the Medicare fraud being done by his company Columbia Hospitals, why didn't Kundra get the same? Besides, I think his appointment has a hidden agenda going with Obama's want to police the Internet.
24. Mideast Peace Czar - George Mitchell
Wait.... isn't there already some czars that oversee our interested in the Middle East???? Oh wait.... he overseas peace initiatives between Israel and Hamas. I though Obama didn't like Israel.... I'm confused.... But here's another job taken away from poor Hillary.... Well, he's a lawyer and the worst part.... He lead a commission to report on relations between Israel and Hamas. This commission concluded that the PLO was the victim and that Israel reacts to something that just doesn't exist even though it's well known that the PLO wants to erase Israel from history. Clueless! I support Israel's rights as the victim here, not the PLO! Every time Israel gives up some land, the PLO takes it, then starts the war again! EVERY TIME!
25. Auto Recovery Czar - Ed Montgomery
This is not what you probably think. This has nothing to do with that epic failure of cash for clunkers and has everything to do with supporting those communities that rely on the auto industry. Not bad, only that he hasn't done anything appreciable that I know of. That and all he's really done is teach. Nothing wrong with that, only that he never ran a business so he has no idea how it works just like Obama.
26. Anti-Semitism Czar - Hanna Rosenthal
Oh, now there's a name I'm familiar with. It's sad that she has this post considering that she thinks Jews are the reason there can be no peace in the Middle East and that Jews are committing atrocities towards Palestinians in a daily basis. Oh.... did I mention that she's Jewish????? Her mom is a Holocaust survivor and her dad was a rabbi!!!! It's reported that she believes that it is necessary, "to distinguish between the good progressive Jews who are not living on Palestinian land and the Israeli Jews who are committing daily atrocities in the name of colonialism and occupation." Sorry, Hanna, but the latter is what the PLO is doing.
27. Domestic Violence Czar - Lynn Rosenthal
Great idea, but this shouldn't be a czar position. She should be working under Health and Human Services.
28. Central Region Czar - Dennis Ross
Gee!!! REALLY!!!! ANOTHER MIDDLE EAST CZAR!?!?!?!?! Granted he has experience for the posting, but really... Also blames Israel for no Middle East peace, but at least recognises that the PLO has a role too.
29. WMD Policy Czar - Gary Samore
Just has his title suggests, he's responsible for Obama's stance on WMDs. Well... he's some experience, but still.... shouldn't this fall under the Department of Defense? Yet more waste of our tax money.
30. Climate Czar - Todd Stern
Yep.... he's supposed to try to convince the international community to limit "greenhouse gases" such as farting cows/pigs. Oh... and he's a lawyer, not an environmental scientist! Why does this post exist when we know that scientists fudged the data to try to get us to believe in the global warming hoax?
31. Regulatory Czar - Cass Sunstein
He's a lawyer who believes that the Constitution is a living document. I.E. it's just a piece of paper that is really only a suggestion just as Obama thinks it is. He also thinks that the President should be the end all as Obama thinks. I.E. he doesn't believe in the checks and balances of our government. He also thinks that that government should pay for abortions because in not doing so, "has the precise consequence of turning women into involuntary incubators and breeders whose bodies are sacrificed in the service of third parties." Yep.... third parties being babies! But he neglects the simple solution of the woman to abstain from having sex or at least to be more responsible by having protected sex. In other words.... IT'S MOSTLY HER FAULT FOR GETTING PREGNANT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! With the only exception being in cases of rape, but I really think that's becoming less and less of a reason for unwanted pregnancy now a days. Sad, no? What's worse are the women who claim to have been raped, but haven't! That's just sick, but I digress..... This guys also supports "The Fairness Doctrine" which isn't really fair at all. It's really an attempt at the First Amendment's freedom of speech, while liberals LOVE, so long as the speech supports their agenda! Basically, he's just about as liberal as Obama.
32. Economic Czar - Paul Volcker
Paul here is SUPPOSED to provide information, analysis, and advice to Obama as he tries to bring us out of our recession. Oh... EPIC FAIL!!!!!!! What information are you feeding, Obama, Paul???? OK.... he's a lawyer and has gone to school as an economist, but still..... he fully supports Obama and his failed economic policies that have lead us into greater debt and higher unemployment than at any time of the Bush administration.
33. Government Performance Czar - Jeffery Zients
He's supposed to be cutting costs in the government. Yeah... right.... OK.... I grant him that he's got experience in business and pay rolls, but still... I'm sure one of his cost cuts was to give the military the 1.4% pay raise it got! BOO!!!!!!
Man that was a lot, but this just goes to show all the waste in the Obama administration. All these individuals, whom I'm sure get A LOT of money for what they do/don't do, in charge of operations, but without oversight from the people. If Obama really wants to cut waste in his administration, lets start here with these czars!
