Nero in the White House

This is an article written by a black man who has obviously overcome the stereotypical "victim" mentality that so many people of color have fallen victim to. I don't want to say anymore so I don't detract from his message because it's a good one.

Three significant historical events have been eclipsed by Obama: 1) Jimmy Carter will no longer be looked upon as the worst president in American history; 2) Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton will no longer be recognized as the greatest liars in presidential history; 3) Clinton's stain on Monica's dress, and what that did to White House in general and the office of the president specifically, will forever pale in comparison to the stain and stench of Obama.

I need not spend much time on the failure of Obama as president. His tenure has been a failure on every measurable level. So much so, in fact, that some of the staunchest, most respected liberal Democrats and Democratic supporters have not only openly criticized him - some even more harshly than this essayist - but they have called for him to step down.

Richard Nixon's words "I am not a crook," punctuated with his involvement in Watergate, and Bill Clinton's finger-wagging as he told one of the most pathetic lies in presidential history, in the aftermath of Obama, will be viewed as mere prevarications.

Mr. Nixon and Clinton lied to save their backsides. Although, I would argue there are no plausible explanations for doing what they did, I could entertain arguments pursuant to understanding their rationales for lying. But in the case of Obama, he lies because he is a liar. He doesn't only lie to cover his misdeeds - he lies to get his way. He lies to belittle others and to make himself look presentable at their expense. He lies about his faith, his associations, his mother, his father and his wife. He lies and bullies to keep his background secret. His lying is congenital and compounded by socio-psychological factors of his life.

Never in my life, inside or outside of politics, have I witnessed such dishonesty in a political leader. He is the most mendacious political figure I have ever witnessed. Even by the low standards of his presidential predecessors, his narcissistic, contumacious arrogance is unequalled. Using Obama as the bar, Nero would have to be elevated to sainthood.

As the stock markets were crashing, taking with them the remaining life saving of untold tens of thousands, Obama was hosting his own birthday celebration, which was an event of epicurean splendidness. The shamelessness of the event was that it was not a state dinner to welcome foreign dignitaries, nor was it to honor an American accomplishment - it was to honor the Pharaoh, Barack Hussein Obama. The event's sole purpose was for the Pharaoh to have his loyal subjects swill wine, indulge in gluttony and behavior unfit to take place on the property of taxpayers, as they suffer. It was of a magnitude comparable to that of Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski's $2 million birthday extravaganza for its pure lack of respect for the people.

Permit me to digress momentarily. The U.S. Capitol and the White House were built with the intent of bringing awe and respect to America and her people. They were also built with the intent of being the greatest of equalizers. I can tell you, having personally been to both, there is a moment of awe and humility associated with being in the presence of the history of those buildings. They are to be honored and inscribed into our national psyche, not treated as a Saturday night house party at Chicago's Cabrini-Green.

The people of America own that home Obama and his wife continue to debase with their pan-ghetto behavior. It is clear that Obama and family view themselves as royalty, but they're not. They are employees of "we the people," who are suffering because of his failed policies. What message does this behavior send to those who today are suffering as never before?

What message does it send to all Americans who are struggling? Has anyone stopped to think what the stock market downturn forebodes for those 80 million baby boomers who will be retiring in the next period of years? Is there a snowball's chance in the Sahara that every news program on the air would applaud this behavior if it were George W. Bush? To that point, do you remember the media thrashing Bush took for having a barbecue at the White House?

Like Nero - who was only slightly less debaucherous than Caligula - with wine on his lips Obama treated "we the people" the way Caligula treated those over whom he lorded.

Many in America wanted to be proud when the first person of color was elected president, but instead, they have been witness to a congenital liar, a woman who has been ashamed of America her entire life, failed policies, intimidation and a commonality hitherto not witnessed in political leaders. He and his wife view their life at our expense as an entitlement - while America's people go homeless, hungry and unemployed.

THE Most Stupid Statement Ever by a President

This is from an email that I received from my father, who is a military vet himself. We have military veterans in our family (to our knowledge) that have honorably served since WW I. President Obama is the FIRST American President to ask our military vets to pay for their injuries sustained due to their service to our great nation. More personal comments to follow...

Service, Sacrifice, lay your life on the line and if you’re not killed, pay your own medical bills! Voluntary Armed Forces the "Obama Way"!

If someone has to explain this to you, you are not a veteran...

Obama doesn't seem to have much respect for the military, even though he says that he supports our troops. Maybe in the future our leaders should be veterans. THOUGHT YOU MIGHT LIKE TO SEE THIS!! THE MOST STUPID STATEMENT EVER BY A PRESIDENT-Unbelievable

THE MOST UNBELIEVABLE PRESIDENT?

HERE IS HIS RESPONSE WHEN HE BACKED OFF FROM HIS DECISION TO REQUIRE THE MILITARY PAY FOR THEIR WAR INJURIES.

Bad press, including major mockery of the play by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 billion annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty. The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal.

"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute..." "I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, "Obama continued "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit... I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

Please pass this on to everyone including every vet and their families whom you know. How in the world did a person with this mindset become our leader?

REMEMBER THIS STATEMENT...."Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice?"

If he thinks he will ever get another vote from an Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard service member or veteran of a military service he ought to think it over. If you or a family member is or has served their country please pass this to them.

Please pass this to everyone. I'm guessing that other than the 20-25% hardcore liberals in the US will agree that this is just another example why this is the worst president in American history. Remind everyone over and over how this man thinks.

What I don’t get with this is that Obama says he supports our troops, but wants them to pay for their service related injuries? That’s an oxymoron if I ever heard one! What also gets me is that Obama and his ilk in D.C. are willing to give everything to those who can do something with their lives, but choose not to, while taking from those who have done the right thing by at least trying to ensure that they will not become a burden on the state! That’s just not the American way! Man, I can’t wait until 2012!

I thought since the Democratic Party in D.C. likes to throw around the phrase “patriotic duty,” that it is necessary to define what patriotic or patriot is.

According to the on line dictionary, Dictionary.com, the term “patriotic” means, “1. of, like, suitable for, or characteristic of a patriot. 2. expressing or inspired by patriotism: a patriotic ode.”

According to Dictionary.com, the term patriot means, “1. a person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests with devotion. 2. a person who regards himself or herself as a defender, especially of individual rights, against presumed interference by the federal government.”

So... I’m finding it hard to see where giving up earned money (with earned being the only point) is a patriotic duty that all Americans must share. In fact, the term patriot includes defending individual rights from the federal government! Rights like the right to what I earn! Besides... the words “robbery” and “theft” include taking something from someone you haven’t earned yourself. So with that in mind... the Obama Administration and Congressional Democrats in general = thieves!

Taking from those who produce to give to those who don’t is the basis for communism/socialism. So this is more proof that Obama is a communist/socialist. Obama takes from those who are doing the right thing by being self sufficient and gives to those who are able bodied and able minded, but rather choose do to nothing with their lives other than bitch, whine, and complain about their “lot in life” which again is the basis for communism/socialism.

I’m sure none of my liberal friends will even read this and if they do, they’re not going to comment because they never do. What they left won’t admit is the fact that we on the right don’t mind helping those in real need. We Republicans are tired of “helping” the able bodied and able minded. We are tired of giving money to those who would rather get high or drunk than to be self sufficient. It’s time we cut these people off at the knees like Canada did so we can help the REAL needy in America. At its worst, Canada had a debt equivalent to our current debt in America, but not anymore. So what DID Canada do? They made MAJOR cuts in their social welfare programs and told the lazy to get off their butts and get to work! Lowe and behold, Canada’s debt went down fast after that happened!

So now I ask... How far is it that 47% of American’s don’t pay taxes? Just imagine how much income the federal government would have if EVERY American did their “patriotic duty” and paid taxes to the federal government.

A Black Man, The Progressive's Perfect Trojan Horse

Pull Lloyd Marcus up on Google - Interesting information about Mr. Marcus

Black Man's Point Of View

No white man could ever write an article like this and live to tell about it.

A Black Man, The Progressive's Perfect Trojan Horse
By Lloyd Marcus

As millions of my fellow Americans, I am outraged, devastated and extremely angry by the Democrat's unbelievable arrogance and disdain for We The People. Despite our screaming "no" from the rooftops, they forced ObamaCare down our throats. Please forgive me for using the following crude saying, but it is very appropriate to describe what has happened. "Don't urinate on me and tell me it's raining." Democrats say their mission is to give all Americans health care. The democrats are lying. Signing ObamaCare into law against our will and the Constitution is tyranny and step one of their hideous goal of having as many Americans as possible dependent on government, thus controlling our lives and fulfilling Obama's promise to fundamentally transform America?

I keep asking myself. How did our government move so far from the normal procedures of getting things done? Could a white president have so successfully pulled off shredding the Constitution to further his agenda? I think not.

Ironically, proving America is completely the opposite of the evil racist country they relentlessly accuse her of being, progressives used America's goodness, guilt and sense of fair play against her in their quest to destroy America as we know it. Progressives borrowed a brilliant scheme from Greek mythology. They offered America a modern day Trojan Horse: a beautifully crafted golden shiny new black man as a presidential candidate. Democrat Joe Biden lauded Obama as the first clean and articulate African American candidate. Democrat Harry Reid said Obama only uses a black dialect when he wants.

White America relished the opportunity to vote for a black man naively believing they would never suffer the pain of being called racist again. Black Americans viewed casting their vote for Obama as the ultimate Affirmative Action for America's sins of the past.

Then there were the entitlement loser voters who said, "I'm votin' for the black dude who promises to take from those rich SOBs and give to me."

Just as the deceived Trojans dragged the beautifully crafted Trojan Horse into Troy as a symbol of their victory, deceived Americans embraced the progressive's young, handsome, articulate and so called moderate black presidential candidate as a symbol of their liberation from accusation of being a racist nation. Also like the Trojan Horse, Obama was filled with the enemy hiding inside.

Sunday, March 21, 2010, a secret door opened in Obama, the shiny golden black man. A raging army of Democrats charged out. Without mercy, they began their vicious bloody slaughter of every value, freedom and institution we Americans hold dear; launching the end of America as we know it.

Wielding swords of votes reeking with the putrid odor of back door deals, the Democrats landed a severe death blow to America and individual rights by passing ObamaCare.

The mainstream liberal media has been relentlessly badgering the Tea Party movement with accusations of racism. Because I am a black tea party patriot, I am bombarded with interviewers asking me the same veiled question. "Why are you siding with these white racists against America's first African American president?" I defend my fellow patriots who are white stating, "These patriots do not give a hoot about Obama's skin color. They simply love their country and oppose his radical agenda. Obama's race is not an issue."

Recently, I have come to believe that perhaps I am wrong about Obama's race not being an issue. In reality, Obama's presidency has everything to do with racism, but not from the Tea Party movement. Progressives and Obama have exploited his race from the rookie senator's virtually unchallenged presidential campaign to his unprecedented bullying of America into ObamaCare. Obama's race trumped all normal media scrutiny of him as a presidential candidate and most recently even the Constitution of the United States. ObamaCare forces all Americans to purchase health care which is clearly unconstitutional.

No white president could get away with boldly and arrogantly thwarting the will of the American people and ignoring laws. President Clinton tried universal health care. Bush tried social security reform. The American people said "no" to both president's proposals and it was the end of it. So how can Obama get away with giving the American people the finger? The answer. He is black.

The mainstream liberal media continues to portray all who oppose Obama in any way as racist. Despite a list of failed policies, overreaches into the private sector, violations of the Constitution and planned destructive legislation too numerous to mention in this article, many Americans are still fearful of criticizing our first black president. Incredible.

My fellow Americans, you must not continue to allow yourselves to be "played" and intimidated by Obama's race or the historical context of his presidency. If we are to save America, the greatest nation on the planet, Obama's progressive agenda must be stopped.

Democracy vs. Dictatorship

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinborough, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage."

The Obituary follows:

America... Born 1776, Died 2008.

It won’t hurt to read this several times.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Obama: 19 / McCain: 29

Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 / McCain: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million / McCain: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 / McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds:
"In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal’s - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

This is truly scary! Of course we are not a democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic. Someone should point this out to Obama. Of course we know he and too many others pay little attention to The Constitution.

There couldn't be more at stake than on Nov 2012. If you as concerned as I am please pass this along.

Busting the Global Warming Hoax

This was originally from an on line Environmental Science class that I had to take while in college. We were to write about global warming while answering specific questions. I'm going to leave the questions in this blog so you can see what was asked. I'll make them bold red so they stand out from my answer.

Notice at the end, I'm going to leave my references for all to review.

I don't know about those who will read this, but I'm getting tired of only one side of the whole global warming issue getting out to the public.

I ask everyone to please read this in its entirety. There are going to be spots that look as though I'm into the man-made global warming lie, but I'm not. I'm only answering the question pointedly.

I would like to say that my professor never replied to my posting. I'm not sure if it's because this is long or if it was because I don't buy into man-made global warming. Actually.... I only had one person out of a total of 20 who responded to my posting. I would have taken criticism, but to get NOTHING????? It made me feel as though my opinion counted for even less than the responses I got from the following.

1. Define "global warming."

Global warming can be defined as, “an increase in the earth's average atmospheric temperature that causes corresponding changes in climate and that may result from the greenhouse effect” (Global warming, 2011). That is, global warming is the increase in the earth’s average air temperature, which causes environmental changes.

2. Describe briefly the theory behind man-caused global warming. Include a list of some of the gases that are believed to contribute to global warming.

The theory behind man-caused global warming states that through man’s actions, the average temperature of the earth is rising causing changes in the environment such as the melting of the polar ice caps, the rising of the seas, and a threat to the wild life that depend on the polar ice. Although the process of greenhouse gases is totally natural, man’s actions are being blamed for an increase in these gases, which act to trap heat.

There are two basic types of greenhouse gases: those that occur naturally and those that are manmade. Naturally occurring greenhouse gases include, “water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone” (West, 2011). Manmade greenhouse gases include, “hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6)” (West, 2011). Of these, carbon dioxide is blamed the most for global warming.

3. What are the causes of increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere?

According to Larry West, a writer on environmental issues, man is the direct cause of an increase in naturally occurring greenhouse gases.

Burning fossil fuels (gas, coal, oil), wood and solid wastes are being blamed for an increase in carbon dioxide.

Burning fossil fuels and solid wastes along with certain practices associated with emissions in industry and agriculture are being blamed for an increase in nitrous oxide levels.

The production and transport of fossil fuels along with the gases released by decaying organic waste (feces) and animal flatulence are being blamed for an increase in methane.

4. What country do you think is the largest contributor to global warming?

Believe it or not, I know that we are not the largest contributor to global warming, but we are up there.

While looking up this answer, I noticed a lot of web sites that claim that the United States is the largest contributor to global warming, but each one of those were blogs and, as a personal rule of thumb, I do not trust blogs.

According to the Union of Concerned Scientists, a non-profit science group that gathers research to promote a better environment, as of 2008, China is the largest contributor to global warming with the United States coming in second and Russia in third. This is based on the total amount of each country’s carbon dioxide emissions.

5. What types of industries emit the most greenhouse gases?

The burning of fossil fuels has been shown to increase the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and has been labeled as the number one man-made component to greenhouse gas increases. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), energy plants that use fossil fuels to create energy, the transportation industry, and other industries are the top three industries that emit carbon dioxide. The EPA lists the following as other industries (US EPA, 2011):

  • Production and consumption of mineral products such as cement, lime and soda ash
  • Production of metals such as iron and steel, aluminum, zinc and lead
  • Chemical production (e.g., ammonia, petrochemicals and titanium dioxide)
  • Consumption of petroleum products in feedstocks and other end-uses

The EPA also states that industry processes are also to blame for increases in nitrous oxide and methane.

6. What is the evidence that global warming is a real process caused by humans and occurring right now?

Through my research, I cannot find any real evidence that man-made global warming is currently happening outside of web sites that are owned by ecologists and environmentalists.

Being a meteorologist with 20 years of experience, I can tell you that there are weather records that can attest to an average decrease in the earth’s temperature.

Once an hour (at a minimum), human weather observers go outside all over the world (including those on ship at sea) to record what is currently going on with the weather. There are also sites all over the world (including over water sides) that are totally automated. These weather observers (both computer and human) are recording the following (this is my current job):

  • current wind speed and direction
  • current atmospheric pressure
  • current cloud cover (both amount and heights of the base of the clouds)
  • current visibility and anything that is restricting visibility (such as fog, rain, snow, smoke, etc)
  • current air temperature
  • current dew point temperature
  • current sea surface temperature (observers at sea)
  • current sea and swell heights (observers at sea)
  • current sea and swell periods (observers at sea)
  • current swell directions (observers at sea)

These records are transmitted between 10-5 minutes before each hour to the world. There are web sites where anyone can view these records, which are coded. Some of these web sites include a translator for those who don’t know how to read the codes. These records are also archived in computerized data bases. These archives are used to create better computerized atmospheric weather forecasting models. Believe it or not, literally half the process of forecasting weather is knowing what has happened in the past. These archived weather observations are also used in climatological studies. It’s these climatological studies that have shown that the earth’s average temperature has decreased slightly since 2007.

There were studies by climatologists and other scientists that suggested that man was in fact causing global warming. Their collaborative effort attempted to prove that as man went about his business, he was causing a dangerous increase in greenhouse gases (mostly carbon dioxide), which has in turn created an increase in the earth’s average temperature. There were also computer models that were created in an attempt to show what future average earth temperatures would be like if things didn’t change.

Since some time in 2007, several scientists and other people have begun to speak out against claims that man has impacted the environment enough to cause global warming. The fact is, some of those climatologists and other scientists that conducted the studies have since admitted that they lied in order to make global warming seem like a manmade disaster.

7. What is the evidence that global warming is either not occurring or is not caused by humans?

As stated above, there are weather records that show a decrease in the earth’s average temperature. There is a report provided by the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee that also shows evidence that man has little to nothing to do with global climate change of any kind.

A report provided by the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee entitled More Than 700 International Scientists Dissent Over Man-Made Global Warming Claims Scientists Continue to Debunk “Consensus” in 2008 & 2009 discusses the fact that, at time of the last update on 16 March 2009, over 700 scientists internationally have been refuting “the facts” provided that support manmade global warming. Some of these scientists include those who used to work for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which is an agency under the United Nations that was formed to examine global climate change to include global warming. It was charged to understand how man was affecting climate change. Of significant importance is that these 700 scientists far outnumber the 52 scientists the United Nations had employed to try to prove that man was creating global climate change in 2007.

According to this report, “The chorus of skeptical scientific voices grow louder in 2008 and 2009 as a steady stream of peer-reviewed studies, analyses, real world data and inconvenient developments challenged the UN’s and former Vice President Al Gore's claims that the ‘science is settled’ and there is a ‘consensus’” (Morano, 2008). Of the peer-reviewed studies, the following has been submitted in the report as evidence that manmade global warming is in fact not happening (Morano, 2008):

  • Global temperatures failing to warm (since 2007)
  • Peer-reviewed studies predicting a continued lack of warming (very important in the scientific community to weed out biases)
  • a failed attempt to revive the discredited “Hockey Stick,” in which Michael Mann, a physicist and climatologist, attempted to show a drastic increase in the earth’s average temperature
  • inconvenient developments and studies regarding rising carbon dioxide (while carbon dioxide has increased since 1986, temperatures have not significantly increase, but have decreased)
  • the Spotless Sun (increases in sunspots have also been blamed for global warming, which has since been debunked)
  • Clouds (they have a much larger effect on temperatures than carbon dioxide does)
  • Antarctica (global warming was supposed to melt Antarctica and thus shrink it, but studies have shown that the continent is in fact increasing in size)
  • the Arctic (what was said about Antarctica was also said about the Arctic: seems the realities between the two are the same)
  • Greenland’s ice (if anyone has been keeping track, that’s a melting Antarctica, Arctic, and Greenland that never melted)
  • Mount Kilimanjaro (global warming was supposed to be the reason for a decrease in ice on the mountain, but later studies have shown it’s due to a lack of precipitation)
  • Global sea ice (global warming was supposed to melt sea ice, but sea ice coverage as increased)
  • Causes of Hurricanes (global warming has been blamed for an increase in stronger hurricane, but there is no scientific proof that this is true)
  • Extreme Storms (as with hurricanes, global warming has been blamed for an increase in extreme storms [tornadoes/thunderstorms] and like hurricanes, there is no scientific proof that this is true)
  • Extinctions (ecologists cannot agree that global warming will cause future extinctions)
  • Floods (global warming is supposed to increase the likely hood of floods, but this is not true because events that cause flooding respond to weather conditions, not climate conditions)
  • Droughts (global warming is also supposed to increase the likely hood of droughts, but research in China shows that global cooling causes more droughts, not global warming)
  • Ocean Acidification (global warming is supposed to cause higher concentrations on acid in the world’s oceans thanks to increased carbon dioxide, but research has shown that there is no correlation between carbon dioxide and ocean acidification)
  • Polar Bears (global warming is supposed to decrease the population of polar bears due to the warming of the North Pole, but research has shown that polar bear populations are in the increase due to hunting restrictions)
  • Extreme weather deaths (global warming is supposed to increase the numbers of dead due to extreme weather, but research has shown a decrease in the numbers of extreme weather related deaths)
  • Frogs (global warming has been blamed for the decline and extinction of certain species of frogs, but research has shown that disease was most likely the culprit, but global warming)
  • Lack of atmospheric dust (the belief is that since there is a decrease in atmospheric dust, more heat from the sun is allowed to reach the earth’s atmosphere causing global warming: there is no proof of this since global cooling as been happening)
  • Malaria (global warming is supposed to increase cases of malaria worldwide: those who support this have not included factors that would preclude the spread of malaria such as simple immunity)
  • The failure of oceans to warm and rise as predicted (this goes hand-in-hand with the shrinking of Antarctica and the Arctic, which we now know is not happening)

8. Based on your research, summarize your own beliefs regarding the issue of global warming, if it is or is not occurring, if it is or is not caused by human activity, and what if anything we should be doing about the problem.

I believe that global warming is not happening anymore thanks to simple weather observations that show that earth’s average temperature has been in the decline.

Since carbon dioxide is being blamed as the main issue with “global warming,” I think that there is more than enough scientific study that shows that increases in carbon dioxide due to man has little to do with climate change in general, let alone global warming.

I will say that we should still be better stewards of the earth, but not for reasons of global climate change, but for sustainability.

It is the poor who habitually elect Democrats ....yet they are still POOR.

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich..
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." - Abraham Lincoln

Northbound on I-5 (88 miles south of Seattle)

I'm not sure if the following is true, but it doesn't make any of the messages less true or funny. I wouldn't be surprised if all of this is true. As we all know, Obama, his administration, and his followers can't take criticism. How do I know.... Anyone remember the poster that someone put up that made Obama look like The Joker? Remember how pissed Obama supporters were? Oh yeah.... and what about the race card being played when someone doesn't agree with Obama? Rather than being open minded enough to see that some people don't like Obama's policies, they play the race card and keep screaming racism until the opposition finally gives up in totally frustration.

And speaking of which.... If you end up being offended by the below messages, maybe you need to ask yourself....

Why am I offended?

Is it because you think it's wrong to bash the President of the United States?

If so, then you need to ask yourself if you've ever bashed any past presidents like Bush. If you're answer is yes, then you need to look at your hypocrisy and see it for what it is: wrong and unjust.

Is it because he's black?

If so, then you might want to understand that disliking Obama has nothing to do with his color. The fact remains that more whites than blacks voted for him.

Is it because you like Obama?

If so, that's fine, but please note that not everyone likes the fact that Obama and his administration are trying their hardest to turn the United States of America (USA) into the United Socialist States of America (USSA).

Anyway... At least try to keep an open mind as you read the following.....

Northbound on I-5 (88 miles south of Seattle)...

The federal government is now petitioning to have these signs removed or Washington state will be denied additional monies for interstate highways.
The State of Washington replied, they will secede from the Union rather than be intimidated. These are a matter of free speech paid for by a private citizen.
It seems the Obama government uses intimidation and ignores the first amendment when they want to silence someone (typical Chicago style politics).

I'd like to add that the promise hasn't been changed, but was missed. His promise was to change the United States of America (USA) into the United Socialist States of America (USSA)

Sad but true. His first dump on the Constitution was signing Obamacare into law.

Start sarcasm.... Yes... Lord Obama and his apostles will take care of everything. End sarcasm....

Oops... They forgot to add Fox News and talk radio.

I guess (aside of the hunter) that makes me a probable terrorist. Who knew?  :-/

Yeah.... Tax and spend.... Something most Democrats were pissed at with Bush, but say nothing about with Obama.

Of course, politicians in general don't keep to their campaign promises, but really.... I don't  hear any screaming from the left on this one, but I did when Bush was in office over "enhanced interrogation"!

Dah, comrade!

Yeah.... right.... If you believe that, I've got this bridge in Brooklyn that I want to get rid of.

Gas Price Wars

This was a paper that I wrote for college. You'll noticed that I included by sources for those who think I'm making stuff up.

Yeah... Got a 28 out of a possible 30 points for it and only because I was a little vague about why I think that we need to drill for our own oil, but I'm getting ahead of the story. Enjoy.

"Knowldege is power." - Sir Francis Bacon

Gas prices have been on a more or less steady rise since 2009 and are believed to reach an all time average high soon (Gas Price Historical Price Charts, 2011). Many Americans are wondering why the average price for gasoline is on a steady rise and what can we do to fix this growing problem.

As of today, April 28, 2011, the national average price for gasoline ranges from $3.886 per gallon for regular unleaded gas to as much as $4.156 per gallon for premium gas (Daily Fuel Gauge Report--national, state and local average prices for gasoline, diesel and E-85, 2011).

In 2008, our last increase and fall in gasoline prices, the popular belief that gas prices were rising was due to greed in the oil producing companies. A later analysis provided the real reason: a belief by speculators that there was an international shortage of oil, thereby creating an increase in the value of oil due to simple supply and demand. According to CNN Money’s Steve Hargreaves, “Strong demand, tight supplies and a volatile marketplace have attracted the interest of investors [speculators] - the last main contributor to high prices” (Hargreaves, 2008).

Fast forward to today.

One belief for the increase in gasoline prices in the United States is the oil-drilling moratorium that President Obama had set in May 2010 limiting where oil-drilling companies could drill for oil. Another belief is that the oil producing companies are being overly greedy once again. Yet another belief is that this increase in gasoline prices are somehow being manipulated by those in the federal government who want to force us into more environmentally friendly modes of transportation such as hybrid/electric cars, mass transit, or biking/walking to and from work.

What can be done? Are there no ideas of how to decrease gasoline prices?

Both the Democrat and Republican parties in Washington, D.C. have proposed some answers, which Hannah Madans, a reporter for the Annenberg: an on line news organization for the University of Southern California, writes about.

“1. Invest in new forms of energy” (Madans, 2011)

There is a growing popular belief that oil is running low. The more we take from the earth, the less there will be for future generations. There is a growing concern that we will eventually deplete the earth of all sources of oil. Even nuclear power, which is sustainable for generations, is being thought of as an insufficient answer to our quest for sources of energy due to the inherent risks with nuclear power plants as seen in recent times in Japan with the Fukushima Power Plant. These concerns have been leading some to think that we need to look into new forms of energy such as solar power, wind power, and natural gas. If America were able to develop such alternative sources of energy, it would make us less dependent on energy sources like oil, thus lowering the demand for oil, which in turn should decrease its monetary value and therefore lower its price. Also, thinking in terms of alternative sources of energy, such lines of thought have lead some to rethink how we power our automobiles. Electric cars and hybrid cars that run on both gasoline and electricity have become more and more popular as science and technology have caught up with the current thinking of different forms of energy. As with the general search for alternative sources of energy, alternative ways to power our cars should decrease the demand for gasoline, which in turn should decrease its monetary value and therefore lower gasoline prices. Those that are opposed to searching for alternative sources of power argue that these alternative sources of power will do very little to help with the near term issue of inflated gasoline prices. They also believe that such sources of power will not be enough to support America’s energy needs.

“2. Create a national energy policy” (Madans, 2011)

This would mean that there would be laws generated with the end goal to make energy in general more affordable.

“3. End subsidies for oil and gas firms” (Madans, 2011)

The Democrat Party supports this: the Republican Party opposes it. It calls for an end in tax breaks on the oil producing companies, thereby increasing the amount of taxes collected by the federal government. The idea is that the increased federal revenue would go towards federal loans/grants that would be paid out to those who are researching and developing the aforementioned alternative energy sources. Republicans oppose this tax increase, as they believe that the increase in taxes will only be passed on to consumers, thus further increasing the already bloated price of gasoline.

“4. Give the Justice Department task force power and strict punishments to impose” (Madans, 2011)

The Justice Department has launched a task force whose purpose is to investigate fraud in the oil market such as illegal trading, which has a tendency to increase gasoline prices. If they find such fraud, then the Justice Department should have the power to enact punishment.

“5. Increase domestic oil production and drilling” (Madans, 2011)

“Drill baby drill” became a catch phrase used by the Republican Party during the 2008 Presidential Election campaign. It began in support of increasing America’s ability to explore for and to drill for our own oil, thus making us less dependent on other nations for our oil needs and ultimately, our gasoline production. The thought was that drilling for our own oil would at least decrease the price of our gasoline as more oil for gasoline production would be available. This is something that most Democrats and environmentalist oppose. They argue that drilling for oil will do harm to the environment and will do little to help lower gasoline prices, but they also forget that this has worked in the past.

On July 14, 2008, the Associated Press reported that then President George W. Bush was going to lift a ban on drilling for oil that day that was set by his father, President George H. W. Bush in 1990 (President Bush lifts executive ban on offshore drilling, 2008). Looking at historical data, national gasoline prices average $4.12 for regular unleaded gasoline just before President Bush announces that he will lift the ban on drilling for oil. Remarkably, the average price for gasoline falls to $1.61 in five short months (Gas Price Historical Price Charts, 2011).

So the question remains, what do we do to lower the average price of gasoline?

Again, as history shows, drilling for our own oil seems to be the best near term solution to our ever-increasing average gasoline prices. More oil should equate to lower gasoline prices. While no citizen outside of the federal government has the power to repeal a ban on oil exploration/drilling, we do have a voice. Contacting your representatives in Congress should get the ball rolling.

Gas prices have been on a more or less steady rise since 2009 and are believed to reach an all time average high soon. Many Americans are wondering why the average price for gasoline is on a steady rise and what can we do to fix this growing problem. The best near term solution offered to date seems to be to increase our ability to drill for our own oil.
